Year of the Dragon

We have been studying China over the last couple of weeks.  Reading many books, looking up information on the internet, and discussing the many landmarks for this Asian country.  The girls have an so much fun making paper laterns, kites and learning to write their name in Chinese.

 

 

We decided to have a celebration tonight.  Dad "cooked" for us--aka brought home take out and special dessert treats.  The girls made a flag and decorated the dining area using some of the things I had picked up at the  party store.

The dressed up for the evening in their clothes Dad had brought back from India (close enough to perfect!?!!?)!

They were very excited to use chopstix.  Lyndsey has tried multiple times and has ended up just stabbing her chicken with the sticks!

Colleen of course had to join in the dress up and chopstick fun!
