Back to school

After our weekend at the beach, we came home to a fast start to the new school year.  I was in charge of the Eastwood Teacher Appreciation Breakfasts during their 3 days of inservice August 8-10.  Actually, this was easy to pull off with a great group of volunteers!  I love party planning and cooking!!!!!

Tyler started back to school on August 10th.  Of course, my 8th grade son was ready and willing to pose for back to school pictures!  Last year of middle school!

Eastwood had meet the teacher on Thursday morning.  It is hard to believe these girls are 6th graders now!!! Last year of lower school!

Corynne read all summer.  She had set a goal to be the top summer reader for 6th grade, and she accomplished her goal!  Way to go, Corynne!

 3th Grade was treated to a Greek Food tasting on August 26th.  They are studying Greek culture this month in History.

 
I made the Boklova for the Greek tasting, and it tasted yummy!  The internet is awesome!  How did we ever make it through the week with it!

Last Summer Mini Vacation

Bill & Sue planned a mini-vacation for the whole family at the beach August 5-7th.  It is always so much fun when we all get-together.  We rented 2 house on the beach, because this crowd just doesn't fit in 1!!!

 The real reason we decided to all meet this weekend...Uncle Shawn is leaving for 6 months in Afghanistan in a few weeks.

 And we celebrated a few other things while we where there!
