P is for Pelican
The Pelican is a funny bird - 
It catches its food in a pouch,

and when it's stuffed with a heavy load,
I'll bet that poor bird says "Ouch!"

As soon as we read letter B, the girls knew they wanted to make beignets for dinner!  We did a very simplified doughnut dough - biscuits!  Mom was trying to be fast and use what we already had in the house!!  You are frying and adding powdered sugar to it anyway, so it is going to taste good!
