Today is my little Lauren's 6th birthday. It seems like just the other day that we brought her home from the hospital and "stowed her in a box in the corner of our bedroom". That is the way my mom would recount her baby nursery! In my defense--we were moving from TX to MD in less than 6 weeks! Sweet Lauren lived in a different state each of the first 3 years of her live, but now she can can call AL home because she has lived her for the last four years! Lauren celebrated today with her Kindergarten girl friends at Barb's on Mulberry. Ms. Barb guided them through a painting project. Then we ate cake and ice cream and opened presents. Each girl went home with their paint project! It was so much fun and easy!
I requested that the little girls not bring siblings but I forgot to make arrangements for our little sibling! Lyndsey was quite a handful until Dad decided to let her have her way inside his car! She tore the car apart--but she had fun and she was not running out to the street or bothering the girls painting! By the way, the car was right in front of the store, we were keeping a very close eye on her, the windows were cracked, the sun roof was open. Please do not turn us in for being abusive parents!!!
Now, Lauren is in her room enjoying her loot from the party!
