Colonial Tea Party with Felicity

The girls spent the end of October and the first few weeks of November reading the Felicity collection from American Girl.  Actually, they listened to the books.  I love audible.com!!!!  After each book, they would work on comprehension questions together and complete activities for their lapbooks.  They each made 2 lapbooks with Felicity.  One book was just based on the 3 book in the series, Felicity's Surprise, which was a Christmas story.

After they completed the books, we began to plan a big Felicity Tea Party.  The girls came up with an invitation list, and we planned out the food.  They made Spiced Pecans from Felicity's cookbook.

 They also made Queen's Cakes from the Felicity Cookbook.

 They set the table for the tea using Mom's Christmas China.

 Then we decided to separate into 2 tables so the girls would have room for their American Girl friends at the table beside them.

 On Saturday morning before the party, Lauren and I made Johnny Cakes from the Felicity Cookbook.

 Now it was time for the guests to come to our Colonial Tea Party!

 The girls stenciled little keepsake boxes...

 They played a few Colonial games like hoop and stick and the Game of Graces.

 Then the girls sat down for tea, Spiced Cranberry Juice!

 Then the girls watch the Felicity movie and made Pomanders!
