Arrr...It's a Pirate's Life for me!

Lyndsey is moving right along in her phonics program, Sing, Spell, Read & Write.  She is moving faster than I had planned on going, so I have started to add in a few fun days to emphasize different sounds.  Today we worked with the "ar" sound.  I found this cool pirate adventure online.  I printed it out and Corynne helped me assemble the poster!  Lyndsey dressed up in her new pirate clothes from the Disney cruise (plus the cowboy boots???? not sure how that happened???).  

Lyndsey hunted for words that we had taped around the house.  She brought them back to the map, but she had to read them before she could place them on the map!

The treasure was found in a secret box.... a Hersey BARRRRRR!

Arrrr..school is so much fun!
