San Francisco

This year the American College of Surgeons meeting was in San Francisco.  John Mark decided to take Tyler with him on the trip.  They boys flew out of Montgomery early Saturday morning.  They caught separate connections to San Francisco at DFW because we could not get Tyler on JM's flight for a reasonable price!!  Yes, we are cheap!
They got there in time to catch the California Golden Bear football game against Utah at AT&T park.

Tyler got to do a few things that he has wanted to do for years, but we just would not take the whole family there!  Places like Ripley's Believe It or Not and Hooters.  Wow, Dad!

They decided to take an intro segue tour on the second afternoon, and then Tyler convinced JM to do the advanced thrills and hills tour the next day!  They learned that the segue "does all the work for you."  Unfortunately, to go up a hill you have to lean uncomfortably forward!  Yep, they went down Lombard Street on a segue against the official advice of City Segue Tours!!!
The next day JM took Tyler to Alcatraz!!! JM loves that place!
JM wanted to bike the Golden Gate bridge with Tyler.  Tyler amped up the afternoon bike ride and challenged JM to a race!  Tyler won the sprint race on the flat land way to early for the 13 mile bike ride.
Tyler basking in his glorious victory!!!
Tyler flew back to Montgomery by himself on Wednesday night because JM had to go to Scott & White in Temple, Texas, to teach a ATLS class.  It was a great Father-Son trip doing cool tourist things and making a lot of great memories together!
