Snow in Montgomery????

YES!!! We had a snow day today! We went to bed last night with the prediction that it would snow in the morning. We live in the deep south so school was canceled and city government shut down for the predicted 1-3 inches of snow! We had a chance of a snow day a little over a month ago with NO SNOW, so I was a little pesimistic when I went to bed. I remember waking up at 530am and there was nothing. Then by 630 the snow had begun, but did not start sticking until about 8am. It was a fun day of playing in the snow for the kids. Granted we did not have the mounds of snow that fell in Texas and Maryland, but it was enough for 4 Montgomery kids to have fun!!!.
Taste the snow...
This morning while JM was at work and Tyler was at a friends house, the girls made a very girly snowwoman!
Dad and Tyler were both home by mid-afternoon. JM loved his morning at work. Apparently, most docs canceled their cases, many patients did not show up this morning for their elective cases. JM had told his patients to BE THERE because he was operating. They showed up. The OR (or ORs) were all his. He was fast and efficient. He loves to operate at that pace which does not happen very often. When the boys got home, the snow ball fights began!
Then they built the 2nd snowman with the backyard snow. This is Bubba The Snowman!
What a fun day we had!
On Saturday morning, the girls rushed outside for one last snow adventure. They made snow angels in our neighbors' yard. AL snow angels are a rare beauty. The grass showing through actually makes the angel more distinctive!!! (We must fine the positive to the melting snow!) They were so cute!!
