Tyler's Birthday Party

13
Yes, that is right.  Tyler is celebrating his 13th birthday!  He decided to have a paintball party this year.  We loaded up both our vehicles full of boys and headed up the the Wetumpka Paintball Center.

 Let the battles begin...

 Discussing strategy...
Reloading...They went through 3 big boxes of paint bullets.  Live and learn!  Next time these will be pre-purchased before we go out to the paintball center!!!
Only a few bruises...this was the ugliest!!!
The boys had to refuel with leftover pizza and drinks before we headed back to house for cake.
On a side note, I ordered a "camo/paintball cake".  When I picked up this cake I was a little confused because Cake Designs has done such a great job creating my odd/preconceived requests over the last few years.  I did not understand this cake until I stepped away from it (for a few hours because I was disappointed).  When I went back to it, I saw the camo and then the bright corners were paintball splatters.  Oh, ok.  I get it now.  Most imporatntly, Tyler loved it.

Cake in the shade.  Did I mention, these guys all but finished off the entire cake?  Wow!
Because these boys can not sit still, a basketball game broke out within minutes.

It was a wonderful day of fun.  I loved getting to drive a car full of teen boys.  Their conversations were funny, enlightening and informative!!!!  What a great group of guys!  The next few years are going to be sooo much fun!!

Colonial Day at ECS

One of the reasons I was so willing to "let go of Corynne's party" (ie let it happen at her friend's house) was I was in charge of Colonial Day at Eastwood on the Friday of their party!!!  Colonial Day involved the 5th and 2nd grades.  It was a time for the 5th grade to serve the 2nd grade and show them how things were done back when!!  They did all kinds of crafts, and I stepped in for the 5th grade celebration meal.

 Making butter...
On the menu--corn-on-the-cob, chicken wings, corn muffins, cheese cubes, ginger cookies, fruit tarts!
They classes also did the Virgina Reel dance led by Mrs. Christi Johnson, but I did not get any pictures because I was in the kitchen!!!

Happy Birthday Corynne!.

Tonight we went to Tipico de Mexico to celebrate Corynne's 11th bday.  It is hard to believe she is going to be 11 tomorrow!  She is such a sweet, caring, loving and precious girl!

 Time for a few gifts...
This is the American Girl she wanted!!!
This is the American Girl I wanted!!!
This year Corynne and her friend Anna, whose birthday is the day before Corynne's, decided to have a joint sleepover.  They invited 5 girls over to Anna's house for the night--that is right, it was at Anna's house!  I hear they had a good time!!!

These are a few of my favorite things!

February 10th
We have had a few cold days this winter.  This is Lyndsey watching morning cartoons!!!!
I got a little creative for Corynne's bday party favors...
February 14th
Happy Valentine's Day!!
Lauren's 2nd grade class visited the VA Hospital and handed out valentines.
Then it was party time.  Lauren with Mikey Peavy!

February 21st
It has been on my to do list for months --thank the neighbors for being so gracious during our destruction/construction mess.  After 4 months in the neighborhood, I can mark that one off!  The girls delivered MorningGlory Muffins to each of the houses on our street!
Tyler sharing a little G2 with Colleen!
One of my favorites...I sent Lyndsey out to get the paper.  After a few minutes, I look out to find her trying to stuff everything back into the bag!  I guess she had an accident.  Funny thing, she handed it to me like nothing had happened.  I just said, "thank you, sweetheart!"

Colleen's Parent/Baby Dedication

Colleen is almost 11 months old.  Her first year is almost up and it has gone by TOO fast.  She is a beautiful, sweet baby.

Waiting our turn...

It's our turn and we are down one child.  (Corynne almost passed out while we were waiting our turn so she had to sit down on the front row!  She had some kind of 24 hr bug?!? )  Colleen decided to go to Pastor Alan right as he was about to pray!  She wanted to REALLY be prayed over!

We had a few families over after church to celebrate with us.

I told them this was her Montgomery 1st Birthday party also because there was no way I would be able to pull off a bday party in less than 4 weeks!!!  The kids....

While I was cutting the cake, my little helpers served Colleen a piece!  This was not really my plan, but Colleen seemed to enjoy it.  She is #5 and just about anything goes at this point!  Yes, she had cake in her hair and IN HER EARS!  It took a couple of baths to clean her up!!!
Today was a wonderful day.  We love you, Colleen.  Thank you, Lord, for blessing us with this sweet miracle!

Date Night at CFA

Daddy took the girls to the Chick-fil-A Father/Daughter Valentine Date Night.

It was a fun night with plenty of special visitors!

They also had crafts to make, and each of the girls found a friend to have fun with!

Everyone got a special treat to end the evening!

SuperBowl Fun 2011

It has become a tradition at our house to get dress up in old football jerseys (the boys have collected a few), eat "football food" (aka JUNK), and watch the Super Bowl (well, the girls usually split after dinner)!
Now, here is the cutest player in our 2011 lineup!!!!
