an explorer of old.

He discovered Florida,

while searching for gold.

Finally, we have crossed over into the Sunshine State!  Oh, how we wish we could go to the beach to read this book!  The girls worked hard on their scrapbook and lap book despite sitting in our schoolroom!

Now K is for the Keys,

a coral necklace in the sun.

Riding over bridges,

counting islands one by one.
