September Stuff

Tyler won a tennis tournament in Florence, Alabama.
Granddad took the kids for a spin in his new wheels while they were in Florence for the tennis tournament.
Our whole family participated in Virginia's Run at The Waters in Montgomery.  This was the first year for Virginia's Run which benefits the girls' school, Eastwood Christian School.  It was named after a sweet junior who was killed in an automobile accident last year.
My exercise partners - Susan & Beth!
Corynne, Laurel, Cami, and Mary Phyfer
Lauren
I did it!  I ran my first 5K.  Yea!

Mom had to go and take the fun out of turning 5 by taking Lyndsey into the doctor for her shots!  The 4 in the bottom were not that bad even though it took 3 people to hold her down.  It was the shot in the finger (aka pin prick) that "hurt the baddest"!  She was soooo mad and sad!
But it was nothing a little Nancy's Itatlian Ice could not cure!!!  Oh, happy day!
Tyler won Consolation at the Wynlakes Tournament in September.
Corynne enjoyed reading about the Texas drought in the Christian World News that she gets from school.  Knowing that this is where our family is originally from made this article more real to her.
Colleen loves doughnuts!!!!!!!!

My 2 cool guys shooting some hoops!  Tyler is not a little boy anymore!

Preschool Opens!

It has been a long month waiting to start preschool.  Lyndsey is so excited to be upstairs in "Molly's mom's room".  Hopefully, she will remember her real name is Miss Milla after a few weeks!

Like a pro, Lyndsey went straight to her cubbie to put up her backpack and supplies.  She is going to have a great year!
The following Monday, Colleen had her first day of school.  She is in the older 1s class with Miss Deb and Miss Roberta.  She thinks she is a big girl like her sister!

She was a big girl until they shut this little door to separate Colleen from her Mommy.  Then she screamed and cried!

School is a sacrific.  You have to give up the morning nap!  The first few weeks Colleen fell asleep in the car on the way home and went straight down for a nap.  We woke her up for dinner for a total of 30 minutes, and she went back to bed  and slept til morning.  School is HARD!

Yep, September 11th and we are completing our first school project of the year.  An edible plant cell.  Lauren did a great job, and the reports were that it was delicious!

Lyndsey is 5!

Hi, my name is Lyndsey and I am 5!  Please come and celebrate my birthday with me!
Lyndsey decided to have an Eloise (from the storybook) birthday party. We had the Eloise Tea Party at our church gym.
We made "Do Not Disturb" signs for our doors.
 We played with balloons.
We played pin the tail on Weinee, Eloise's dog.
Colleen making sure the cheese is not wasted!
Tea party time!  Corynne & Lauren helped serve at the tea party!
And by special request "Mom, I want a pinata", we had a Skipperdee (Eloise's pet turtle) pinata!

The birthday girl chose Chuck E. Cheese for dinner!

Lyndsey,
You are an amazing girl full of energy and love.  Life with you is never boring, and you keep Mom and Dad on our toes!  I am so glad that God chose me to be your Mom!
I love you!
