December Fun

Today was a busy day!  Tyler took the ACT for the 1st time.  He qualified to take it as a 7th grader with the Duke TIP program (see post in ....).  Corynne and Lauren had a big swim meet here in Montgomery. And Lyndsey was so excited about going to a birthday party for 3 of her friends in here PJs!!!  All of these events occur in the morning, overlapping times, in opposite sides of town!

The girls did great at the swim meet.  Corynne came home with a personal best ribbon and  a heat winner ribbon!  Lauren swam awesome as always!  They will probably be awarded a few ribbons after the meet.

Lyndsey had fun at the PJ Christmas Brunch party for 3 of her classmates who all have a birthday on the same day and they are NOT related!!!  I say that because there are an abnormal about of family in Montgomery with twins and triplets!

Tonight, Corynne's dance group performed at the Eastchase Christmas program.  After the dance, we enjoyed the fun around Eastchase a little before it started raining.  They had a small dome of snow for the kids to play in!

Annual Christmas Dance at the Zoo

Each year the girls dance studio performs at the zoo.  Typically, it is the coldest night in December.  This year the weather gave us a small break...it was not freezing, just cold!  The girls did a great job.  They were so excited to have special visitors in the audience!  Thank you to Granddad, Noni, cousin Cade, and Granny Jo for traveling down to see the girls dance!!

Happy Thanksgiving 2010!

This year we stayed at home for Thanksgiving.  This was the first day Dad had been home in months, and mom had quite a few "honey dos"  with the new house that needed attention!  The kids played dress up for Mom so she could have these pictures.  Tyler's one request was they not go on FB, so I am just going to put them here!  HaHa!!!  2 Pilgrims, 2 Indians, and a little turkey!!1

We went over to Uncle Terry and Aunt Sheryl's house for dinner this evening.  It was very nice to have a traditional Thanksgiving meal since we had leftovers for lunch today!!!  The kids had fun playing with some of their cousins-Thomas, Samual, and James.

Just plain cute!

"Mommy, look!  Colleen likes my pudding!"

Lauren's 2nd grade presents Squanto reading to parents.   They all did a fabulous job!!!
Lauren dressed as Squanto and carrying her homemade Cradleboard, a science project due today!
Colleen and Mom get quite a bit of one-on-one time on Wednesday nights at church!  Mommy loves getting to spend that precious time with Colleen!

Corynne dressed up for school on Friday, November 19th.  The 5th grade was having Plantation Day.  It was a fun day and I took a lot of pictures but I guess it was on the old camera that I can not find.  Did I mention that she made her black skirt to wear today!
Tyler dressed up in chapel dress today.  I think this was the first time this year!  Grades 6-8 were participating in Congress day.  Over the last week, they wrote bills.  Today they are going through the process of voting, etc.
Lyndsey dressed up for school today also!  Today was their Thanksgiving program and feast.  She has been sooooo excited.  She is such a big girl!!! The glowing reports of her excellent behavior at school makes us very proud parents!
What a FEAST!  Lyndsey is NOT a picky eater!  She loves everything, but her favorite today was pumpkin bread!

Tyler's Room

Many have asked about the pics of Tyler's room.  He is the typical teen boy, and it is hard to catch the five minutes of cleanliness a week in a pic!  I did get the pics a few days ago, and here they are!

This is the upstairs bathroom that is called Tyler's bathroom for now because no one else uses it!  It is hard to photograph because it is very narrow!

Here is an updated pic of Corynne's bathroom.  It is still my favorite bathroom!!!!
