Back to School

Yes, we have already started back.  It rolls around faster and faster each year.  Tyler started 5th grade at Trinity this year.  He is excited to be rotating classes.  He said it makes the day go by much faster since there is no recess to look forward to!  Corynne is in 3rd grade at Eastwood Christian school.  She just loves school, and she is adjusting to her best friends being in the other 3rd grade classroom.  Lauren started Kindergarden at Eastwood this year.  She is having so much fun!  Lyndsey and I are enjoying our time at home in the mornings.  Lyndsey will turn two in a few weeks, and she is reaching milestone everyday.

Summer Update

I know it has been a long time.  We had a wonderful summer.  It was just to short.  We went to Orange Beach, Al the first weekend of the month.  We always have a blast down there.  The kids enjoyed everything from crab hunting to go-carts.  There was little time to rest and relax, but snow cones at LuLu's slowed down the pace!

We returned home in time to celebrate our 13th anniversary with a night on the town.  Ms. Jan from JM's office watched the kids into the night for us.  The kids love it when she comes.  They say she is their favorite babysitter!  John Mark and I enjoyed dinner and just talking over coffee at Starbuck's in peace!

Grammy & Papa came down for our last weekend of summer.  We took them out to the lake to enjoy our peaceful retreat with us.  They enjoyed getting to see the kids in the water and just playing around.  JM even took everyone to the archery range one afternoon for some bow and arrow fun.  Top everything with smores and it was a weekend to remember!!!

John Mark caught our first catfish on the lake.  It helps when the neighbor is feeding them everyday!  He was so excited.  Corynne ran down to see up close and touch!

Girls Week

Tyler was at church camp this week so we have had a week of girl fun!  We have had manicures, pedicures, time at the pool, and a trip to the zoo.  This was the first trip to the zoo for Lyndsey to walk around and call out to the animals.  She had so much fun.  Corynne and Lauren were such a big help.  Lyndsey loved the birds. We also finished up a summer session of dance.  The girls tried hip-hop this summer.  We discovered that Corynne is more the classical ballet, tap and jazz dancer.  Lauren on the other hand really got into the hip-hop - new age dancing!

AUM Green All-Stars WIN!!!

We won 8-6 tonight.  The boys played a GREAT game.  They were so excited to have a win under their belts.  I think it makes the last few very HARD weeks worth it for them.  Tyler was up to the plate 3 times - 2 walks and 1 line out.  He made some great plays at 1st base.  I think this is the first time all year I have gotten a pic of him "in action/making a play" at 1st.  Oh yeah, I had NO other kids with me tonight-just me and my camera!  That is why I had 40+ awesome pics of Tyler!!!  AUM Green continues play in the District Tourny on Monday night.  Yeah, Dad will get home in time to see the game.

Happy 4th of July!

Tyler played his first district game today.  They lost 5-6.  It was a good game.  They were down the whole game, but kept fighting until the end.  Dad is praying that they have a victory tomorrow so he can see the AUM Green All-Stars in play on Monday!  After the game, we went straight to the Wynlakes fireworks.  Lyndsey was scared at first, but then she settled down to watch the show!

My beautiful kids!

Kids are just too much fun.  I was excited to get this shot since Lyndsey will NOT sit still and look at the camera for 2 seconds!  We are preparing for a fun week.  JM leaves with Corynne and Lauren to go to NYC on Thursday.  They are so excited!  They wanted to start packing today!

Go AUM Green!!!

We are getting geared up for the All-Star District tourny in a few days.  A team mom dressed up all the cars at practice on Saturday.  Oh, what fun!  I am struggling with the NEED to wash my car!  Letting the kids put their stickers on the back almost pushed me over the edge a few years ago, so JM did call to make sure that it was okay before the mom did it!  Tyler loves it...and it is only for a week or so.  I thought God was going to save me the stress on Sunday morning, but the rain did not wash it off!  My type A clean freak personality is hard to deal with at times!!!
