We have been so busy here!  We have had dance recitals, piano recitals, a tennis tournament, and numerous end-of-year programs and parties.  I think everyone is ready to just relax for a while.  Everyone but Tyler!  Baseball is still going strong.  He is hoping to make the All-Star team.  That will be announced in a couple of weeks.  His team is ranked #1 in their division, so they should make it to the championship game!

Grammy was here last weekend.  I think she was ready to leave on Monday, because we went non-stop while she was here.  The girls were excited that she came to their dance recital on Saturday.  They kept our eyes busy, and my feet going backstage to make costume changes between the 6 dances.

Grammy also got to see Tyler play in his first "real"  tennis tournament.  He won in the first round, but lost the next two matches.  It was good enough to give him an Alabama ranking---oh no, his competitive side is kicking into gear.  I hear through JM that he wants to go to more tournaments.

Tyler and Corynne finished off Sunday afternoon with their piano recital.  They did great.  Lauren was so excited because she gets to start piano on Monday!

Happy Birthday Lauren!

Today is Lauren's 5th Birthday.  It makes my heart ache to accept that she is growing up!  She was so excited to take a cookie cake to her school friends today.  We will have her party with the Big Green Bus on Friday afternoon if I can get everything together.

Monday Night Life

Just so you know what we do on a typical Monday night!  Piano lessons after school.  Lauren plays soccer, and then Corynne has her game.  (The camera did not make it to Lauren's game.  I just forgot it when I was loading the car.)  Then it is quickly run over to AUM for Tyler's baseball game!  Did I fail to mention that these events overlap.  Dad swung by after work to take Tyler over to the ballpark (and drop off the camera)!  Guess what--we do this on Thursday also!  It is busy, but it is fun.  It is our life, and we love it.  I keep my sanity by remembering how fast they have already grown up and how soon they will move on.  Time flies, so have fun watching those games until way past bedtime!

TaeKwonDo Tourny in Mobile

Tyler, Corynne and Lauren competed in a TaeKwonDo Tournament in Mobile this weekend.   Tyler was awarded Silver in Blue Sr. Sparing.  Corynne received Honorable Mention.  Lauren got a gold metal for a Cubs Brown Belt.  Oh, what fun it is to medal!

Piano Guild

Tyler and Corynne performed for the Piano Guild judge this afternoon.  They did a good job.  They have worked so hard to learn all 10 pieces, scales and chords!  Tyler played at the Alabama Music Teachers competition a few weekends ago.  He scored an E for performance and an O (the best rating) for theory!  Great job for a kid with 104 fever that morning!  We were proud of him for giving it his best on a terrible weekend for him!

4th Grade visits State Capitol

I am not sure who was more excited about this field trip.  Actually, I know I was more excited.  I dragged my sick son to school on Monday, so I could go on the field trip.  Then I brought him home and put him to bed!

Corynne and Lauren strut their stuff!

The girls danced at the Montgomery Zoo today.  They sure do have fun performing!
